NHL - Edmonton Oilers v Minnesota Wild
15 November 2007
Preview By Tipster JPH1983 (Norway)
Edmonton are 7-10-1 41:57 this year with 3-4 19:24 at home. They are one of the lowest scoring teams in the league, just in front of Washington with 40 goals scored. One of the reasons the Oilers have been so poor this year is all the injuries they have in their roster. In their defense Pitkanen, Souray and Greene are all injured and also Moreau and Pisani are out in their offense.
Minnesota on the other hand are 9-6-2 45:41 total and 3-4-2 23:27 on the road. They have had some injuries in their offense lately, where Demitra and Gaborik have been injured. Demitra will be out tonight while Gaborik is prob. Minnesota are a very strong defensive team and a typical "under-team " in the NHL. Their strong defense are runned by the the finnish goalie Backstrøm. he is 7-3-0-1 with a 2,09 GAA this year. He has a perfect lifetime record against the Oilers with 6-0-0, a 0,67 GAA and 3 shutouts!!!!
Last 10 meetings have ended 5-2-3 O/P/U. Minnesota have won 8 out of these meeting.
Edmonton are 4-6 O/U their line their last 10 games and 2-9 O/U their line during their last 11 games against Minnesota. Edmonton have problems scoring and against a good defensive team as Minnesota, I think they will have problems finding the net. I find nice value in this bet and will hit it with 8/10 @ pinny, odds 1,752

PS: Been a while since my last pick now, but I see that Moah and TonyClifton are doing brilliant with their NHL picks. Keep up the good work!!!
