Champions League - Steaua Bucharest v Sevilla
But there are huge differences between the adversaries the two teams have had as there are huge differences between the Liga I from Romania and Primera Division in Spain.Sevilla played at home against Real Madrid and won 2-0.This was a top match in Spain and most would say that Sevilla have consumed a lot of energy in that match and could be a little bit tired to the match with Steaua. But i don't believe that is a big problem because after the first 20 min. during which Sevilla took the two goal lead, the match kind of lost it's intensity as Sevilla was content with the lead. They knew they had to preserve their energy for this match and that exactly what they did.
On the other side, Steaua had to play on the road at Timisoara, against Poli, a match which they lost with the same score that Sevilla won and that is 2-0.Poli isn't half the team Real Madrid is, and still Steaua managed to consumed much more energy and accumulate more stress.
So far, with their new couch, Steaua has got one win (3-1 with Otelul) and one loss (2-0 with Poli). Most people hope that Marius Lacatus will debut with a positive result in the Champions League (as he did in Liga I) as Steaua's couch. And many times these kind of factors have a general positive outcome for the team that has a new couch. But the interesting fact is that Sevilla also has a new couch with whom Sevilla seem be having no opponents. So, the new couch factor isn't much of an advantage for neither team as both have new couches. Anyone who saw the first match, knows that the difference between Sevilla and Steaua is quite a big one despite the fact that the score (2-1) did not reflect that.As in the match with Real Madrid, Sevilla pushed just enough and got a 2-0 lead quickly after which they kind of relaxed and that lead to a Steaua goal but the team that in an overall perspective dominated the match, was Sevilla.
Knowing what the two team play i would rate Sevilla as the favorite for this match. My only worry would be the fact that Sevilla are on the road and if Sevilla has one weak point that they should fix is the fact that they aren't as good on the road as they are at home. And to make things worst the stadium is expected to be full as Marius Lacatus is couching the team for the first time in Champions League.
If Sevilla manage to pass this obstacle, which i believe they will, than the superior experience and talent that Sevilla has, will show and in the end get them all the 3 points.
As far as the players status is concerned, Steaua still has that long list of important injured players only with Lovin back, but i believe this fact is irrelevant as Sevilla has players like Capel, Kanoute or Fabiano (to mention only a few) that are much more talented even than the injured players that Steaua is waiting for to get back in action.
I've already backed Sevilla with a considerable stake (but not a max. one).GL
