NFL - Browns v Miami Dolphins
Let me start by saying this is a speculative punt so please keep stakes sensible. Sometimes fortune favours the brave and i am hoping it favours us.
The Miami run defense are playing like a bunch of Jelly babies would in the florida heat, they just melt and everyone tramples all over them. They cannot stop the run and everyone knows it.
They rank #31 on rushing yards and have given up 8 rushing TDs in 5 games. This week Cleveland get to trample all over the hapless Fins run defense.
Normally this would mean Jamal Lewis would be the man but last Sunday against the Patriots he lasted one play before leaving the game with a sprained right foot. Jamal Lewis will miss practice on Wednesday in the hope of playing on Sunday. The injury doesnt look too serious but the fact they are resting him Wednesday hints they are taking it easy with their #1 RB.
His backup is Jason Wright. If Lewis misses the game then the 10/3 (4.3) on him scoring a touchdown at any time during the game is massive, his true odds would be more like EVS (2,0). If Lewis does play they become about right.
I suspect Jamal Lewis will be fit to play but its worth having a small bet as the odds warrant one.
By way of a backup plan, look at the performance of Michael Turner backing up LDT as an example of how well a RB can do in junk time at the end of the game. If Lewis does play and the Browns rack up a decent lead, he will most likely not play much of the 4th quarter which would hopefully see Wright running against a tired Dolphins defense.
So in summary keep stakes sensibly low and take a specualtive punt on Jason Wright to score a TD at any time on Sunday.
