NHL - Columbus v Anaheim
Columbus had high ambitions last year, but failed to reach playoff and changed their coach mid season. They have strengthen both defense (Hejda and Brookbank) and offense (Peca and Novotny), but if they can't score goals , I fear that Columbus will have a hard season once again. Last year Nash, Fedorov, Zherdev++ could live up to their names. This pre season they were 3-3-2, which is an ok result. For tonights game Peca and Foote will be out, while Modin is doubtful.
There have been a lot of talk about Anaheim this season, and how they will manage without Niedermayer and Selanne. They signed Bertuzzi and Schneider as substitutes them, and Bertuzzi showed last game that he might be back form the injurie last season with 1 goal and 1 assist. Anaheim have also lost Dustin Penner, who signed a huge contract with Edmonton. But even though Anaheim have lost Niedermayer, Penner and Selanne, they still have a roster that kan kick ass in Getzlaf, Perry, Kunitz, Bertuzzi and rookie Ryan (keep your eyes up for him this season). Pre-season gave 3-3-1, which was poorer that what we expected from the Ducks. They have already played 3 games this season, which have given 1-1-1, lost 3-2 after OT last game in Detroit. Pahlsson, Giguere ans Schneider are out.
Anaheim have won the last 3 meetings in Columbus, and I think they have good chances to do that tonight as well. Bwin offers 1.95 for Anaheim ML, which get 7/10 from me.
