Bournemouth put up a decent showing in the last round of matches but still fell apart in the end, losing 4-1 to Swindon. Their injury woes are well-documented and even though it had eased slightly this weekend, they would have their hands full up against Carlisle, a side challenging for promotion no doubt after last season’s exploits. Carlisle themselves totally outplayed Bristol Rovers and only managed one point, would hope to do one better in this match and claim all 3 points a relatively weak Bournemouth side. Last season, Carlisle won both fixtures home and away against Bournemouth. In my opinion, the play Carlisle displays is definitely better than those of Bournemouth and this should assure them of all 3 points here. Bournemouth’s injury woes add to this claim. There is little chance Bournemouth snatching a win here and hence the handicap on offer is attractive enough for me to give it a go. Carlisle to win this 2-0.
