A1 Basketball - AEL 1964 BC v Aris BC

AEL Larissa managed a decisive win versus Olympia last week and now needs just one win in the following three matches to secure a place in the the A1 league for another year.Aris on the other hand throw a great chance against Paok last Tuesday to finish second at the end of the regular season.Now the Thessaloniki team goes for three straight wins and hopes that Paok will beat Olympiakos in the last day of the championship.

Squad news:Ector Romero for the home team was released before three days and moved to Murcia,Spain.Now for Aris the problems are many as Alex Scales and Savvas Iliadis will be out because of an injury.Also power forward Kevin Fletcher is out but his absense is not so important.

Despite its problems i see Aris taking this game.The away team needs the win more.Ael's current spot possibly is not in dangerous because Apollon Patron has to succeed three straight wins to steal this place from the Larisa team.Coach of Aris,Andrea Matzon,will try to feed more the big men of the team,Mike Wilkinson,Massey and Giannoulis.Serapinas will take Scales's place as a starter.I think that the lithuanian guard will grab this chance and will show to his coach that he really deserves some extra playing time.

The only problem for Aris will be american playmaker Arthur Lee.Lee without the help of Romero is not sure that he will offer as usually.Also In the middle of the week faced an injury problem and maybe will not be totally ready.

I'll take Matzon's team with a high stake.Aris after a long time will play strong defense and will give us some units.
