Johnson vs Isner
I find the odds on the lines strange. Pinnacle offers 1.76 for the match to go over 23 games, then they give 1.96 for over 23.5. The gap should not be this big for half a game.
Johnson and Isner know each other well, on and off the court. They have 6 meetings between them with Isner winning four but Johnson winning the first one and the most recent one. This is a tournament they both enjoy playing, Isner won it in 2014 (vs Lu in the finals). I think this will be a three set match but I am reserving myself a bit from betting on over 2.5 sets because Isner is a better tiebreak player despite Johnsons win in Washington in two tiebreaks. I think its completely possible for Isner to win this in two because this surface fits his serve a lot.
Johnson is having a very good time in Auckland, he has defeated Robert and Lu in straight sets.
Five of their six matches have crossed this line and the one that did not was on the slow clay in Monaco. On fast surfaces they have gone the distance versus eachother and I don't see why it would be different this time.
