Buducnost has won the first leg in Baia Mare pretty convincingly 29-24 so there are no queries as to which team will go the the final 4 in Budapest in may. Baia Mare is on the brink of collapsing; the local council in BM has cut its funding of the team, the players have not been payed for months, the most important players already have signed for the next season with other teams so the mood inside the team is dire, very dire. On top of that Baia Mare will not count in this match on some of it's most important players: Pineau, Ungureanu, Geiger, Szucs, Nechita and Tanasie. Their 9 meter line looks very bad, only with Abbingh there, but the dutch had some poor showings lately too. The only predicament to this bet is Buducnost; if the montenegrins will take will match even remotely serious they should win by ~15 but if they will play with many youngsters throughout the match this could be much closer than expected, but I really doubt this will be the case. But logically there is no argument for Baia Mare to pose any threat whatsoever to Buducnost; the lack of liquidity forced BM to travel to Buducnost by bus!! a 1000 kilometers travel by bus!!! hardly a good preparation for such a tough outing.
