Romania will host tonight Spain in a friendly game in Cluj; aproximatelly 30 thounsands spectators will pack Cluj Arena and the expectation from the home team is big. Romanian spectators want to see how their national team fares against a top class opponent head of the Euro 2016. Even though this is only a friendly, for Romania a positive result (including here also the draw) will be considered pure gold given the fact that the romanian press has painted this match as a "David vs Goliath" situation. Still, Spain seems to be very uninterested about the result, del Bosque will field a team with players that didn't started from the first minute against Italy, Pique may be the only one that will feature from the start from the team that started in Udine. Still a Spain even with players like David Silva, Koke, Nolito, Alcacer, Pedro or Jordi Alba is still at least one class above this Romania. I rate Romania qualitywise very very low, but as a team, playing cagy football, very well organized they could pick something out of this one. Iordanescu doesn't have quality at all in attack, I can't really see Romania scoring here but I see them keeping Spain from scoring too. To summarize: a match between a team, the home team, very interested in the result of this match but with very limited means of getting that result versus one team that seems pretty uninterested about the result here, with players much more interested not to pick un injury and to their duties at their club teams for the remainder of the season, still with enough quality to pick something tonight. This match should end with a goalless draw or Spain 1-0.
