Denmark and Romania will meet tonight from 19:00 CET in Ceres Arena, Aarhus in a match from the qualifying round for the women's olympic tournament. This ia a very tough group, alongside ROU and DEN here we encounter Montenegro one of the powerhouses in women's world handball but also minnow Uruguay. These two teams have met last time in the quaterfinals at the World Cup, also in Denmark, back then ROU won after overtime, 31-30. Romania looked in the last couple of matches like a world class team capable of competing even for the olympic gold. This would've seemed utopic a few month ago, but Thomas Ryde transformed a team prone to collapsing at the first blow into one capable of winning against anyone. Denmark on the other hand was far from impressive at the WC, Klavs Brun Jorgensen's team lost last week both matches against Russia in the qualies for Euro 2016. Denmark is still a very tough team but they don't really have world class players into their ranks, somebody like Neagu or Ungureanu. Also they have big problems on the rigth back with Line Jorgensen beeing injured, whilst Louise Burgaard is out of form so they will have to relly on that important position mainly on the young, promising but inexperienced Mette Tranborg. This romanian team looks rock solid and with Cristina Neague providing the x factor I expect a rather easy win today for Romania.
