Norway and Romania will meet today in a match from the Women's Handball European Championship qualification round. Romania won this wednesday the match in Cluj, Romania between these two teams by 5 goals, after the hosts even lead in the first half by 10, 16-6. The norwegians underestimated Ryde's team and finished the match rattled, after their worst defeat in in the last years. I have no doubt that even though this match doesn't hold any quintessential implication to it, Thorir Hergeirssons team will come out with all guns blazing. Romania on the other hand has next weekend an all important qualification tournament for the Olympics, in Denmark where they will play against the host nation, Montenegro and Uruguay for a ticket for Rio. Ryde said that they have shifted their focus on those matches already, they will treat the match today as a preparatory one for those encounters, many regulars will be rested or will play just a couple of minutes. There is no reason to risk injuries before the olympic qualification tournament. I doubt in this scenario that Romania will be able to compete with Norway, the score could even be harsh for ROU but given the context of this encounter that will be acceptable from Romania's perspective.
