Bucuresti vs Gyor ETO
CSM Bucharest and Gyor will meet today in a match from the last round of the group phase in Polivalenta Hall in Bucharest. Both teams have already pocketed the tickets for the quarterfinals, that means they are just two games away from the final 4 in Budapest. CSM Bucharest regardless of what happens today will finish 4th in this group and will play with another team that is enjoying their first CL stint, Rostov. Gyor on the other hand will most likely finish 2nd or 3rd. As Buducnost will win at home against Midtjylland if they win today they will surpass Vardar, if not they will finish 3rd. They will meet in quarters the local rivals Ferencvarosi or the norwegian nemesis Larvik.
In the first game between Bucharest and Gyor in Hungary a little more than 3 weeks ago the romanian team was clearly outplayed by the hungarians. the hosts's norwegian GK Kari Aalvik Grimsbo was in superb form that day. But more importantly, once again it was telling how hard was for CSM to score with the lack of options at the 9 meters line. Gullden has had a very poor game, so CSM was toothless. If Gyor manages to stop Bella Gullden today I cannot see how they won't win today also. Bucharest is too much reliant on the swede. Bucuresti's only chance is a very good defensive game and also a poor game by Gyor. For Kim Rasmussen the injury of the danish RB Line Jorgensen has really crippled them at the 9 meters line, and without a left handed shooter at the 9m line they will once again struggle to score, I also struggle to see any other result here than a Gyor victory at at least 2-3 goals.
